Way in. Assuming my bike still works. I'm not mechanically inclinated but I just stuck on new wheels, tires, tubes, cassette, chain and did major fender surgery after having some issues in the IRC ride last night (2nd ride in 3 weeks, seriously itchin' to get back at it).

I'm in.

The sufferfest is fast, typically like an A to A+ weekday ride, depending on who shows up. It was started as a training ride for those who were wanting to race. The killer B at the same time ride is a lot more civilized. We typically meet up at the cook st starbucks at the same time as the "killer B" ride, 5:45am, roll at 6:00. We ride out to matticks farm together as a warm up, then the "sufferfest" riders start a rotating paceline. We've been able to keep both groups pretty well together from there to Sidney by having a rotating paceline for the hammerheads, a doorman (who lets the paceline rotate in front of him, and is the leader of the single line that follows), and a single file group. It allows everybody to ride at a hard pace, and people who aren't quite as strong to hang on longer in the draft.
This typically goes to sidney, where we wait at the parking lot at the playground on lochside drive and weiler at which point we break up into the sufferfest and the killer B rides. Everybody has usually made up their mind by then which ride they want to continue on with.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

7 riders - Josh, Lister, Chris M, (new) Ryan, Marcus, myself and the recently returned Sylvan.

It was a great day for riding -15 degrees C at 6:00 a.m. The ride was more an A ride than a sufferfest, but it was nice to put 85k on the bike on a beautiful morning.

The only downside was riding over a roofing nail on Wallace drive and only re-inflating to about 40 - 50 lbs so the tube wouldn't blow out the hole in the tire - very comfortable, good workout, very slow.
