It's been a few days since Okanagan Ride #2, Kelowna to Silver Star. There has been a ride every day, but they've been short and grim. I got "ill" after a "late night" and have struggled for a couple of days. Today was supposed to be Ironman route day, but I got off to a late and sluggish start and didn't get on the bike 'til after noon. It was pretty windy so I decided to just do an out-and-back to Osoyoos, about 120 km. The wind changed from head to tail and back three times in each direction, but never got really nasty or really helpful, so the average speed didn't vary much. 33.9 from Penticton to OK Falls and 33.1 back. 32.2 from OK Falls to Osoyoos (most of the headwind) and 34.6 back. 33.4 average for 121 km. Pretty solid, steady effort. Hopefully sweated out the last of the poison.
