Congratulations to everyone on Sunday. N2V sounds outstanding/everlasting etc OK OK EPIC! Sunday for me was a different way of experiencing that heat. Apparently it reached close to 100 F in the hills east of Everett for the Lake Stevens 1/2 ironman. Great challenging course and for any of you tri-types well worth considering. The ride (to get relevant) is a back roads double loop of rollers (think Munns-Durance without quite the grades). Here is the link (sorry I no Garmin nerd yet)

The down hills on the map don't look like much, but 85 kmh was a record for me.
I managed average of around 32 km/h according to my initial results. It was a great day up until that point, but then the heat really packed it on Half way through the first run loop, Lynne jumped in to chat with me, and the first thing she said, was "Are you (really) OK?" Talk about slowing down, packing the hat and jersey with ice, and trying to put back the fluids. Had a goal of 5 1/2, ended up around 5:55. Next year??
Now recovering on the beach in Laguna California
