Maybe Lister was right about carbon frames

Post by matteo »

I guess we all know Lister's views on road bikes.
However I never really believed carbon frames were as fragile as he sometimes suggested.
Until my new bike fell after I leaned it against a wall in quite a crowd of cyclists.
It must have hit a stone or something, because I found a seat stay cracked.
Needless to say, it really sucked.
There's a chance we can convince the manufacturer that it wasn't my fault, since it's brand new.
Anyway I really didn't expect that such a silly little accident could be the end of a brand new (and quite expensive) frame.

Damn, that sucks. Hopefully Pinarello will help you out. There are places that do carbon repair, so that might be an option.
