Tripleshot Cycling

Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on some mechanical issue's i've been having. I just recently bought some new shimano RS30 wheels (road sport) and already (about 6 rides) my rear wheel has been out of true and sustained a significant "up and down" bend. I have had this happen to me on a couple of wheels, usually the rear. I am baffled because I usually ride with a friend and he doesn't have any problems, hopefully an indication that the roads I ride on are not too terrible. As well, I am not a heavy guy (148 lbs) and find it hard to believe that i could be affecting my wheels in such a way. I am very concerned because my back to school budget is definitely not able to absorb the cost of new wheels! any insights or advice is greatly appreciated!

If it doesn't have 32 or 36 round spokes I don't know much about 'em.

The retrogrouches on rec.bicycles.tech are always whining about boutique wheels, not enough spokes, blah blah blah, but I'm just using what I had before those came along. (On a side note, it is notable that for the classics on cobbles, the pros go back to 32 spokes )

But anyway, I'm pretty sure even the disco-est wheels are true-able, so maybe have the store look at them.
