Hey Dave,

Hope you are feeling not too bad after your spill this morning. I usually post this after someone has road rash as it definitely speeds recovery time and decreases chance of infection:

Maybe some of the docs could chime in if they feel that this treatment is no longer state of the art.

Hope your shifters are ok but if not, there is a good deal on used Victoria:

Hope you have a speedy recovery....

Thanks for the link Steve. This mornings wipeout had the worst of all situations - some bruising and skin loss, and a wrecked wheel (and possible derailer) but not enough damage to justify a new bike. I should have had you guys beat the crap out of the bike before my wife picked me up. I wasn't thinking too clearly.

Hey Dave,

This just came on used Victoria and might be cheaper to buy this bike than repair yours. Great deal for someone else if it doesn't fit you:

David: Sorry to hear about your accident. I highly recommend a product called "Bio-Oil". My Doctor recommended it to me to aid healing of my skin. All of my skin abrasions, of which there were many, have completely healed in 3 weeks. I think this product from South Africa really helped. You can get it a most drug stores. It cost only around $9.00. Hope this helps. Get well soon.

Thanks for the links for another bike Steve, but I have spare wheels. I'll just have to see how the shifters and derailer are.

I checked my Garmin and found I was going about 53km/hr when I went down. I guess that explains the soreness.

The knees, elbows and hands should be fine in a couple of days. The back may take a little longer.

I'll be back in a week or two.

Yikes, Dave. Sorry to hear it.

If you can be bothered, how about some crash details? Any lessons to be learned?

Happy healing.

Hi Dave,

Hope your recovery is going well and hope to see you out soon. Your crash was a scary one and is still fresh in my mind. I can still hear the sound of you skidding across the pavement....
