Congratulations to Nick Sinclair (son of TSC stalwart Brian Sinclair) who just earned a spot on Team Canada for the 2010 PanPacs. I personally suspect the gills helped but perhaps there is more to it.

From today's online TC:

On Team Canada from the UVic Pacific Coast club, which did a bang-up job of hosting the national trials, are King, Weinberger, Mackenzie Downing and Nicholas Sinclair, the latter a six-foot-two Oak Bay High grad and pre-med student selected UVic rookie athlete of the year, who overcame injury to be named to the national team as one of the last additions.

Congratulations Nick!

I had the honour of teaching Nick Physics 12, and I can say he is a very nice young man who works hard in the pool (and on his studies). He will go far.

Aw shucks.
Thanks guys--the kid work really hard, and needless to say, we're pretty proud. UVic still thinks he is a 'fly swimmer, although really that is just the easiest stroke to photograph.
