Kreek Baby is here

At 12.20 am on Thursday, July 22, Baby Kreek was born. He is 9 lb 0 oz blonde and healthy. We thought he would be full of woe, but he snuck in with far to go. His shoulders are (already) way to big to be a tour de france cyclist.
Mom is fantastic. She was a trooper. Her water broke Wednesday at 12 am. After 24 hours at the Victoria General Hospital he was sucked out of the womb, with some massive gold medal pushes from mom.
Dad is shaky, and moved. Wow. I already love this scrunched face screamer more than I thought possible. My heart grew three sizes today.

Congratulations buddy - that's awesome news!
The first one is always super emotional - I remember it being very overwhelming. And no one can explain it too you - you just have to experience it.
Take a deep breath and enjoy it while it lasts - the other thing people can't prepare you for is just how fast it goes!

Nice, Adam! Congratulations to you and Mom and Baby K!! Good luck with the first blurry little bit. If you need to get him to sleep in the mornings, consider bringing him on a B ride with a trailer.
And if you're still stuck for a name next week, just go for Kalevipoeg. He already looks like he's fully capable of carrying forward your heritage with pride; or at least "use planks edgewise as weapons."

Enjoy every minute, and remember the sleep deprivation is not forever. It does end.
I think a power intervals program is the best way to go. He could be a green jersey contender. No point in waiting, extreme parental pressure is the best way to create a world class athlete in this day and age.

Congrats Adam to and your wife. Have you put an order in for a Triple Shot jumper for him? Roland should get on that. We could now start a baby line of clothing. Think of the potential?!
