That was a good fast ride this morning. I jumped on with the first A+ group of three up the hill at ash, after doing a bunch of doug repeats. Peter bridged up soon after, and we TT'd it all the way.

Peter, any idea what our average speed was from ash to the finish?

I heard there was another chase group breathing down our necks going into uplands? Did you guys have us is sight the whole time?

Yeah, we (Adam, Bob, me) seemed to get close on caddy bay hill, but it always seems like that on a hill when it slows. But Adam Creek said we should let you guys go so you'd feel good about staying away. So we softpedalled.

Our average was 39.2 from Ash to finish! No wonder we were all funny colours and not really "talky"!!

I wimped out after Newton Heights on Wed and figured I would just do the A ride to recover. Interesting how much faster the club rides are compared to last year...
For the A ride we had an average speed of 35km/h for the whole ride and Ash to finish was a respectable 36.7.

And I thought I'd just gotten fat and slow on my vacation.

That's good to hear, Steve. Roland's posting of our rides and routes back in September under the Club Info thread says our Friday B ride is 28-30 and our A ride is 32-34. It's getting harder to be a determinedly recreational rider!
