I now demand that you all bow (and abase yourselves) when I approach, always lead me out and never EVER attack me. After all. I now have proof that I have been paid to race my bike!

How many cats did you take to that show and why don't you give her a name?

And bragging about a cat that won 5th place seems a bit of a stretch. She was beaten by Fluffy, Wiskers, Tiger, and Mr. Tabby!

Cycling gear = $10,000
Trip to race in Italy = $3,000
Annual race entry fees = $500
Annual training hours = 1000+
----------------------------
First 'paycheck' earned racing = bragging rights for eternity (or at least until a bigger paycheck is won)

Congrats Pete - just keep telling your wife being pro isn't about the money, it's about the passion!

Gavin, you missed a chance for a Mastercard moment

(repeat list of expenses)

Telling your wife you "made $50". Priceless.

Congrats Peter, I remember when I got my first royalties cheque from SOCAN for having music on the radio, best $12.83 I've ever got. That's when I knew I had made it and it was time to quit my day job.

Don't pros have mechanics who make sure seats don't come off & brakes don't rub?

Congrats & just for the record, the hill to the finish was not nice. The photo in the race report does not do it justice.
