Hurricane Ridge, June 20th

Sunday 20th, climbing Hurricane Ridge with Schwalbe Team, as a guest.
32 awesome (and very foggy) kilometres of climbing starting right from the ferry terminal.
We warmed up all together from the ferry to the entrance of the park, then in 1:10 from the entrance to the top.
On the top the weather wasn't too bad, so we could enjoy the amazing view.

Well done Matteo. How did your mother and sister like the drive up?

Did you have enough clothes for the ride down?

My mother and sister really enjoyed it. Despite the fog, the view from the top was quite amazing.
Your plastic raincoat is really good, I was wearing it on the way down and it protected me very well from the wind.

I cant believe that Lister has something made of *gasp* PLASTIC. Matteo, you must mean he gave you a Buffalo Skin or some other more "traditional" type of rain proof garment.

You'll be wishing you had buffalo skin to hold your carbon fork steerer together...when it goes.

Ah, nothing warms the cockles of a retro-grouch's heart like the sound of carbon cracking...(not wishing anyone any harm of course).

Did you see this guy will buy your carbon fork, and give you a discount on a nice new steel one?

(On a serious note, some good tech tips for carbon fibre in the velonews article.)

Matteo, 1:10 is ridiculously fast. It must be that bike you're riding. Did Lister install that electric motor?

By the way, when do you go back to Italy? When is your last Tripleshot ride? We will certainly miss you.

To the other TS members: did you know that at the Oak Bay High grad ceremony Matteo said his happiest memory from this year was his first ride with the OB Cycling Club. It brought a tear to my eye.
