Is anyone interested in riding Hurricane Ridge with me one weekend this summer?

I know a lot of people do it on July 1 but I'm out of town then. A few other weekends are already busy for me but I'm sure we could find a date that works.

I believe the Schwalbe guys are going over on Father's day with van support. I went last year and it was great other than being beaten up to the top by 30 minutes by the BC Hill Climbing Champ. They told me that it would be an open ride for others to join but I will double check into the specifics.

Team Schwalbe is on for June 20th. There will be van support and food waiting for you at the top of the mountain. The plan is to take the 6:10 ferry and try and get back on the 12:30 ferry that day. All they ask is that you let them know you are coming so they can prepare the appropriate amount of food. Contact them at:

I'd like to do this sometime this summer, but I am unavailable for the usual July 1st ride. I am also unavailable on June 20th (Father's Day) as that is the same day as the New Balance HIM.

So, depending on the date, I'm in!

Matteo is interested in riding Hurricane Ridge Saturday June 26th, the day before he heads back to Italy. Anyone else wanna give him a send-off before he goes back to the ho-hum world of the Italian alps?

(I'm up in the air with a possible kayak trip that weekend.)
