Cross Ride

Mostly nonsense. Also riding bicycles inappropriate for off road terrain, off road; GIFs

If it’s not raining too much on Sunday morning I’ll be available at the usual spot and time for a cross adventure - otherwise a big morning cleaning lint out of the dryer.

Maybe a little R&R in R&R then E&N?

RRCX, out on the GG, back on the E&N. Sounds like a GFP!

See you BAE @ FFSB.

I am just curious: Is is still a GirlFriend Parade (GFP) if Rolf stays at home?

Actually, GFP = Good Effing Plan.

(I’m trying to boost my physical performance. Alan pointed me at this super sciencey source that supports sporty swearing.)

No more girlfriend stuff since shaming (and BTW, where is #38 these days? He’s much missed) just friends without privileges.

Glorious ride this morning. It was sunny and warm all around Thetis, trails dry and fast. Even found a new trail (legal) paved with unicorn meat and a rainbow canopy. When I tried to fall or crash, I couldn’t. Too bad wusses, you missed the magic.

Thanks wonger for the ride, it was a perfect morning for one.

On the way home I apologised to and repaired the fence that I had a fistfight with. Sore feelings forgotten on both sides.

Another classic crossride this morning. Featuring Alan testing the nutritional value in wood chips, coffee courtesy of Rolf, and quality intermingling with the roadies. Thank you everyone.

Was great to have Norm and Ann along, too!

Sorry for the impetuous navigation at Summit Park; sometimes the maxim "no ride the same" gets me in trouble.

See you Friday... maybe for something a little longer?

Welcome aboard Posterboy. It's fun getting lost in Victoria's Secrets.
Best line from today's ride goes to Norm:
"Do we really have to follow Rolf to the ends of the earth?"
The rest of us: "yes!"
Norm: "ok."

Dear Tripleshot Executive...

When this thread hits 10,000 views can we consider giving the cross folks their own room, er...I meant sub-forum page.

Very establishment question coming from someone who features Joey Sh*thead in his signature :).
Padded room, you bet!

Hi John;

Full marks for referencing my D.O.A. shout-out. Words to live by...stand up or shut up! As for it being an "establishment question", I left that stuff behind when I abdicated all TSC responsibility to Dr. Farnham.

Silliness aside...I do still think that a Cyclocross sub-forum might be a good idea.

Yes! We demand our own clubhouse. And our own table at coffee. And our own bylaws and executive committee. And attainment of world supremacy in the next five years. And our own jersey design? Heh. No.

Good idea. But so long as a sub-forum still lets us pop up as a new post when non-crossers log in to the forum. It's important the cross-curious can still be regularly (if mildly) disrupted by our alternative lifestyle—so that those who want to learn more about themselves and how to have more fun on two wheels always feel welcome to join us.

I'm in favour of a sub-forum.

Cross rides generate more chatter on the forum than road rides. This is mainly because cross rides, being less fixed, require more planning than road rides. Some might also say that cross riders are generally unhinged and the forum gives them a therapeutic anchor for their thoughts (see Rolf's last post). The long thread that exists now is suboptimal, and caused Alan, for example, to show up for a ride in December that happened in September :D.

"Now You Choose Stay Or Go
Wow wow wuh Revolution
If You Want Some Change
Wow wow wuh Revolution"

I'm not sure what that all means but if J. Sh*thead said it it must be meaningful :D.
