I'll be there...I want to see if I can find any of my pieces I left on West Saanich last Saturday!

I'll be there too. Coffee sounds like a good plan.

I can't ride Sunday, so would like to come, but am not really fit enough to do my share. Ok to sit on the back? No expectations of waiting. No worries if not.

Of course. Everyone is welcome :D
Sitting in to stay on with the group is no problem. Definitely no pulling required if you're not feeling it.

I think everyone staying together as long as possible is more fun for everyone. There's no "no drop" rule though, so getting shelled is always a possibility.

So what will the route be? Waterfront to the peninsula? I ask on the off chance that I am foolish enough to try and meet up with you after you get going from Cook St. as I really don't think I will be on the bike early enough to meet you there.

No problem Mike, I will speak for the group and say we'll go from the Cook St. Starbucks, stoked on Americanos, leaving by 6am and head down to Dallas, then take the usual route along the water to Matticks' farm, Sidney, etc. Which is to say, I'm in.
Lister, don't worry about hanging on the back, by the time we get to West Saanich Road, we're all 'on the back' with tongues dragging on the pavement, trying to keep Josh from disappearing from sight. Last week we didn't drop Pete, even though he disappeared from sight, somewhere out on Wain Road. When we discovered we'd lost him, in true TS form we all turned around to find him. He says he was so happy to see the TS lads coming back to collect his sorry arse even as he was trying to escape down a side road. See you Saturday.

I think I will pass on Sat am. Felt crappy again Friday, and have an xc ski scheduled for Sat PM when we get up to M Wash. Chances are I'll wreck both outings if I go in the am. Thanks anyway. Cough up a lung up for me.

Great ride this morning guys. Thanks to the 5 other hearty souls who came out to play in the rain. I had it at almost exactly 90km, and we had a moving average for the last 50km or so of 34.5km/h (from the start of cordova bay to the interurban lights)

I am down for next saturday, who wants to go again?

I'm definitely in for getting killed again next weekend! From the outcome of today - looks like I need to do that ride regularly!

Kudos to the boys for the hard ride today - it was a real leg burner!

Sign me up for another thrashing next week. Please sir, may I have so more?

They have to be white to fit the euro-queer-trash vibe that's happening. Wouldn't want to spoil the moose train's look. :)

Come on now moose train"

0545 it is. I am going to try for the "double" - and already feeling a little sick! All I want to see is Josh's rear wheel - and never clear clear pavement if I can possibly help it!

Okay, so who else is interested in this 'fun' time? In particular, those who may be interested in going hard until they crack (for me that is at Dallas Rd.) and then still going long but at a more 'normal' pace? (Perhaps even crossing over to West Saanich and regrouping with the nuts on the return trip)

Oh dear. That sounds too sensible to turn down. Have to check the socer schedule first.

I'm still in for a good thrashing! And I promise to put up more of a fight at the end than I did last week.

My wheels came back today - the last part needed to complete my euro-trash masterpiece!

If it's not raining, dry and looking like it will hold out - I may bring it out for it's inaugural white-knuckle, white-jean ride.

Anyone know where I might find some white tights?

Looks like Gavin is going commando in a whole new way...
"White Tights" is a Russian urban myth surrounding the alleged participation of female sniper mercenaries in combat against Russian forces in various armed conflicts from late 1980s.

The stuff google teaches us...

White jeans like this?

Imagine that outfit with a white catlike helmet. If only you could find white leather pointy toed cycling shoes.........

I think this, but in all white, is what Gavin is actually searching for. Apparently you can even order it in a "shiny nylon" fabric.

They also offer it in animal prints, and discounts if you order more than 12. I wonder if they have sold 12 in total yet?
