Can someone guesstimate what time the first riders will be rolling through Port Renfrew? I might tag along at that point for a spell.

Just a few reminders:

The route map and cue sheet are here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/22521595. Either load the route into your Garmin or bring along a hard copy of the route sheet. The only potentially confusing bit is between Duncan and Mill Bay.

We will all start out together, but I expect we will fracture into 2-3 groups. If you choose to take off on your own, be advised that you will be ON YOUR OWN (i.e. don't expect any further support or supplies).

The support vehicle and motorcycle will have plenty of food/water and a tool kit, but we do expect you arrive at the start with some basic road snacks, full water bottles, and some basic repair tools. Don't forget your sunscreen!

And finally, a big shout-out to Steve and Kara White (driving the support van), and Pat Finnigan (sheep-dogging the peloton on his motorcycle). You guys rock!

Question: will the support car be at the coffee shop at 6 AM so that we could put a small bag in? I'm thinking extra sunscreen, extra clothes (likely not needed, but...).

Claire, it takes me about 4 hours to get to Renfrew.

Hope you folks had a good ride. After Sooke my heart rate was about 20 beats higher than it would ordinarily be at the same level of effort. Hasn't happened since the last time I rode distance with Eric and Heather Simonsen. So I am blaming them. Then it started to rain. Time to turn around. Maybe next year or later this year if anyone else is interested.

Thank you all for such a fantastic day, and special thanks to Steve, Karen, Pat and John who made it all happen! My head plant into the ditch was fun until I discovered I'd lost my iPhone and credit card in the fall. It turns out, for the good, that I inadvertently swept that stuff into my backpack before I headed out for the ride -- and there it was when I got home. Explains why a relative calls me the "dumbest smart person she knows". Anyways, thanks again all.
