Great except for the fact that the non-sprint laps are supposed to be recovery. Depends on how you ride the loops. If you pick it up around the golf course and keep the tempo way up on the sprint laps, you are going to want a rest lap so that you can recover and put in a strong effort on the designated sprint laps.

If you are riding all laps the same and just sprinting the Cedar Hill X section of the loop it may work to sprint all laps-500 meters at 45-55 is easier than almost a full lap at 40-50.

I don't really care either way but the older I get the better I feel with a little rest here and there.

Dylan, friendly suggestion. If you can't rest in 3.5 km, you're doing it wrong. :)

Seriously, this could work if people don't want the full lap of jamming, and then the sprint.

Great thread, great conversation.
My vote is to not make any route or structural changes to our rides but take Josh's reminder as just that, a reminder. Although infuriating and downright offensive, the Sh*t Cyclists group has been good reminder to remain vigilant in my cycling etiquette and law abiding diligence. I see no need to change my ride routes or behavior. It has been a good reminder to remain focused and aware when sharing the roads.

This is a great suggestion to TRY 4 laps with a sprint on a Tuesday, I would like to try it in one of the B groups.
I am not sure how we will decide this as a group. B riders :could we try this Tuesday, June 23 ??
