Ttts on tomorrow. In spite of the rain. New team names? Pineapple Express? Storm Front? Monsoon machine?

Just Doug S, Trevor and I. It was VERY wet, with a nice east wind in our face as we rode up the little rise to the stop sign. All in all, a good ride! Thank you Trevor for pulling us around!

Wouldn't ya know it. Rain forecast for tomorrow am. But that won't stop us, will it? Maybe keep away the fainter of heart and those not in need of gloating points. But PV coffee is still the best in town, soaking wet or not.

Who's in? I'm still snailing through my winter (I hope) slump, so despite the most excellent motor pacing behind Trevor last week, I'm hoping for B- level partners.

I must say though, despite being about 100 watts the better of us last week (well, any week), Trevor has absolutely nailed adjustments in speed and length of pulls to suit whoever he rides with. He was better at riding at my pace than I was. Chapeau Trevor.

Totally agree with Lister. It is a skill and it takes mental concentration to ride the way Trevor did last week. Not many people can do this and I really think it is part of being a well rounded cyclist. Cycling is not always about hammering away. Training the brain is just as important and pacing to the riders around you is a big part of this. I would also like to say the Lawless gentlemen are equally adept at finding the pace of the group and working with it. It is really appreciated by those of us that in normal circumstances would have no chance of keeping up with you!

Just wanted to confirm that the original details are still accurate (pareto @ 6, 2x12-20 @ uvic, moka for coffee) and if TT bikes are welcome or if I'll be the only guy not Merckx'ing it?

Welcome Owen. Meeting time is 6, but at Uvic, just east of where Henderson joins ring road. If we met at Pareto we'd run into traffic during the last rep. Tt or road bikes both welcome. Fender with flap if roads are wet.

Starting to feel a bit cooked from 2 a day youth rides in March break, and another at 10. How would ttt riders feel about me timing instead of riding? Thinking that knowing splits and times would give some insights into what length and speed of pulls are working, and finish times would allow us to handicap the start so the chase is right to the line. But only if people want that. And every team could do that themselves, and probably hear better from a team mate than from me. Anyway, the idea is out there.
