I think another good choice would be the Ksyrium Elites at 1550g and bombproof.

Jamie Cameron has a set of those, he said they seemed nice based on first impressions.

Yes, we do source our rims from Asia but it's not the ones you see available on eBay, Alibaba, or the RoadbikeReview site (definitely NOT the Yinshun rims!). The rims we use are also shared by a few other companies, some of which are very large and to where most people would be surprised to learn they also source some of their products.
