Tripleshot Racing & Training Calendar on the Web.

Post by 4827north »

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of creating a tripleshot online calendar with the following events in there. You'll be able to view online and subscribe (calDAV compliant).

the link to the web page is: http://tinyurl.com/tripleshot-racing-calendar

Contents
1. Tripleshot club rides
2. VCL Race Series
3. Centuries and Charity Rides
4. Cycling BC races (road only for now)
5. BC Masters Races.
6. Gran Fondos
7. Randonneur Events.

Emphasis on local scene.

when you subscribe you'll have them on your Outlook calendar.. staring you in the face each day.

If there is interest, I can publish the content sections individually for you to subscribe separately.

I'll let you all know when I've completed loading the information. Right now I have VCL to mid-April loaded, plus our club ride schedule.

That sounds really cool Brad. Except maybe that 'staring in the face' bit.

Is it easy to update? The VCL schedule is still a draft; it could change.

Yes, easy to update. And if you subscribe , you'll get the updates when outlook refreshes.

I've added the BCMCA masters races up to June, so far. I'll post when I've added more to the calendar. Remember, if you 'subscribed' to this in your Calendar program, it will get the updates when it refreshes.

Thanks Brad. A couple fo the Monday C races seem to be missing or mislabelled. There should be one every Monday from April 25 (yes, it's easter monday) to May 16, and all should clearly labelled "C" race. One is called something else I think.

Update. I *think* I've finished recording the BCMCA series. I'll work on the schedule that Cycling BC tracks next. If you spot any errors, ommissions, please send me a PM.

Hi Everyone, I've moved the Tripleshot calendar from Apple's mobile me iCal server over to Google. This allows me to grant others full edit capability to the calendar to share in the load of maintaining it.

There are three ways to access the calendar:

1. HTML web page:

http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?sr ... /Vancouver

2. iCal Subscription (most likely this will be the way to 'subscribe' via your favorite calendar desktop application)

http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/im2 ... /basic.ics
Be sure to set to 'refresh' at least daily, if your app has that feature.

3. XML-based calendar subscription

http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/im ... blic/basic

In addition, you can embed the following iFrame into a web page:

<iframe src="http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?sr ... /Vancouver" style="border: 0" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

If you'd like to be an editor of the calendar, shoot me an email, and I'll add you in as editor. Gavin and I are currently the only editors, but I'll also ask Roland to be an editor.

thanks,

Brad
