The Race Tent thread!

Post by Roland »

Should Tripleshot buy a race tent, and what should it look like?

Here is the template, do your worst:

I'm sure Josh can draw something better.

As far as informing our vote, Roland, I think cost is more important than potential design - though I'm pretty partial to narwhals. :) Do you have any cost estimates?

I like the idea of a tent for races and other events. Having a tent that matches your jersey helps you feel like you've got a safe shelter from the storm of competition and roadie-aggression flowing around you. But what other potential club purchases/expenditures won't happen if we buy a tent?

I'm just an idea man, everything else is up to the club executive. The poll is just too gauge interest. If there is interest, then we'll continue down the path of cost estimates, etc.

A tent is one of the things the proceeds from the race kit gear order was earmarked for. There was a no narwhal clause in that too.

I like Al's design btw....

Nice, Al. Makes me feel cozy - like I can expect a cup of coffee when I attend this tent. Which may cause disappointment to innocent bystanders. (Unless we actually have coffee to share.)

This looks good, but would it make sense to align the "Tripleshot Cycling" to the coffee mug and align "Spinnakers" with the "Racing" bit? Or, am I just exposing my OCD?

Played some more. This one is consistent with the back of the jersey, and gets rid of the black background which I think would get hot in the summer.

The photos look amazing. Great motivation to win a race! Our habit of cycling to races means that getting it to an event could be a problem though. Also, what about a Finish Line thingy for these proposed Speedway races? That would make a great photo for our sponsors.

Don't worry. There'll be several out of town races attended by the Tripleshot Race Team this year that the tent can also attend

No argyle? I love the look of the sleeves on the new jackets. Any chance of workin' some of that argyle on there, or is it getting too busy?

Second choice: 4 sides: Unicorn, Narwhal, Coffee cup, Banana
