Hah, Oak Bay High TS-offshoot had a higher turn-out. Bow, Alex, Callum, Logan, plus three dads did 2.5 hours at Hartland. A River Runs Thorugh It was the theme. Which applied to our shoes, chains, spokes, gloves,....

Surprisingly warm though, but bridges were only just high enough. Logan impressed us all by riding a trail called, appropriately 'Get Wet' ....up to his knees. Whitewater on several trails. Pictures to come.

Too bad you bailed Paul, you missed an epic ride, with water flowing over the road past the Sayward turnoff with assorted floatsam and rocks, and water filling the bike lane and half the car lane down Interurban. Then for comic relief there was a knobby kneed guy who looked to be about 80 riding his commuter bike up Wallace wearing a light jacket, some short Tilley-style shorts and a big smile. Awesome, although I didn't notice any cross riders taking advantage of the conditions.

If I wore a hat, I'd take it off to whoever rode this morning. It was damn near biblical out there!

Looking forward to shaking off the rust on Tuesday.

I had the radio on this morning, listening to the news/weather to help me decide whether or not to ride. Then I heard "sinkhole" and that was the end of it. I can't remember where the sinkhole was, but it doesn't sound like it swallowed any TS'ers.

The few that rode this morning must be part of the Tripleshot lunatic fringe... I dip my jester's hat to you all. Way too wet to whet my riding appetite. I did 'Fight Club' Sufferfest indoor workout with Kevin instead. Just about puked.
