Event: Burnaby 4 - four day track cycling event
Website: http://www.burnaby4.com/
Dates: December 27-30 (Mon-Thurs); evenings Mon-Wed, all day Thurs
Schedule: http://www.burnaby4.com/downloads/rev_2 ... hedule.pdf
This would be a pretty epic event to attend. Ticket prices are pretty steep: $5 a day. Kinda sad, actually, but it's a great opportunity to see some of our heroes race in a stadium setting for almost nothing. Featured teams: Svien Tuft & Zach Bell. Christian Meier & Tyler Farrar. Plus Tara Whitten and Sarah Hammer.
Possible option: 1 pm ferry on Wednesday, overnight at Accent Inns, Burnaby, 9 pm ferry back Thursday night. Don't miss a single Tripleshot ride. If you can get away for a day and a half, you will have fun and get faster just by watching these stellar cycling performers.
"The Accent Inn - Burnaby has graciously offered the Burnaby Velodrome a Special Rate of $89 during the racing period." Sweet. Directions from Accent Burnaby to the Velodrome: http://bit.ly/AccentToVelo

Re: Burnaby 4 - Epic Track Action
I could be convinced to go, but if I go I'm racing. Too bad I sold my track bike, but I'm sure I can find one.
compete: 1620, from Fr. compéter "be in rivalry with"
Re: Burnaby 4 - Epic Track Action
roland, you could use my cervelo frame. horizontal dropouts, short stays and steep seatpost
no drivetrain right now, just cranks and chainrings.
bars, saddle and fork are on, no shifters. it'd make a good track setup if you could find a fixed wheel and a chain.
