Thanks Josh. Love the commentary: "There's the cheese manager from Tesco's!" I think I know where Monty Python gets their inspiration... I'm pretty sure it started outside a pub; might be key...

Hmmm, the Thetis, Stewart, Hartland, Colquitz valley loop could have some of that. Maybe a swim across Kilarney Lake? Rappel down the bluffs at Thetis? Bike toss for distance in the Interurban mud flats? Now, where's the start finish pub?

Wow, I feel like a real wimp now! Only in Scotland could cyclocross be that crazy!

I really think we could use a couple of waist deep river crossings in Cross on the Rock....I wonder if Di2 can handle full submersion!?!
@#$& this 'work' stuff, I think I'll just go pro...

Found the event site that this video reminds me of. The Three Peaks race in Yorkshire, England.

The home page photo made my knees weak: http://www.3peakscyclocross.org.uk/index.htm

Interesting how they get permission to ride one day a year, on trails that are normally closed to bicycles.

OMG - I just realized the race is 50km!!!!

That's a bloody long way to race a cross bike on terrain like that!
