Expilion 250's at MEC now - HURRY!!!

Post by sylvan »

There are only 4 left and they'll be gone this afternoon. 250 lumens, USB recharger, bar and helmet mounts. Beauties. $125 + HST, $140 all in.

I'm on my second one. The switch on the first one was faulty right out of the box. MEC replaced it last week at no cost. I stayed with the product as the light is fantastic.

I was doin' half decent with a pair of 2W Planet Bike Blaze units. They were at least giving a bit of road coverage, but I tried the Expilion 250 on the helmet tonight, with the Blazes still on the bars, and it was a big improvement. I can see how lumenses can be addictive, but I figure I'm probably good with this unit 'til they come out with an Expilion 320 next year.

I picked up the last one from MEC tonight. They said there are a few more coming in, not sure when, but their inventory isn't very accurate at the moment. Best bet is to call the store and have them put one aside.

I took the helmet mount off and put the unit on the bar mount in place of one of the 2W Blazes. Cool thing about the Expilion bar mount is that it has about 10-15 degrees of swivel either way. I thought it was just loose at first but it's made that way.
