Re: SSCXWC '10
We did it! We Qualified for the Single Speed Cyclocross World Championships tomorrow.
Roland, Tanya, Drew, Joele, Wendy & I all qualified. Norm unfortunately flatted somewhere out on the course and didn't qualify yet. Second & third chances to qualify happen at the bar tonight. Should be entertaining to watch!
The Qualifier was an AlleyCat style cross race: a CrossCat. Basically an AlleyCat through Seattle on as many bike paths and parks as they could find. We were started in groups of 10 on 4 minute intervals, and the top 4 finishers in each heat qualified, but they let all the women in. I was worried I wouldn't finish in the top 4 of my heat but in the end, I think I did anyways cause I found a short cut (aka - got lost) that somehow got me ahead of a lot of people!
Here's what today's race looked like this:
Tomorrow should be fun!

Drew McKenzie and Wendy Sims win the 2010 SSCXWC's. Nice showing for Vancouver Island.
