I assume he knows there is a 4.
I just checked the BC Ferries website and there is a 4:00 sailing on Friday.

Given lots of folks are planning on the 4, I will also head for that ferry. I am staying in Vancouver so will not be availing myself to the luxury of the accent inn. I will however, bring a vehicle and bike racks that can fit 3-5 bikes, depending if we go overheight or not, so if anone wants a ride through to downtown on Friday, please let me know. I am planning to stay at whistler, and then I have arrrangements made to get down on Sunday to pick up my vehicle in Vancouver. I have left messages at Caramba (thanks for the suggestion), but need confirmation for numbers for dinner Saturday.

Geoff is dropping a vehicle in Whistler, and Hugh and I (and Shawn?) are going on the 4 tot he Accent Inn. Staying in Whistler, not sure where. I think Geoff and Hugh and I would be in for dinner Brian, not sure if Shawn is staying. I'll let them jump in to correct me.

I'm going over on the 4. My wife and I are staying at a different hotel than the Accent Inn and we are also staying in Whistler. My cell # is 250-220-FISH (two four seven four). We're up for anything.

I'll be in for dinner at whistler.

I'd also be in for a day of downhill on Sunday if anybody else wanted to. I just don't have a way to get my DH bike there and back. Anybody willing to transport by DH bike can borrow my extra DH bike.

Doesn't this look like a fun après-fondo activity?

Lister, I'd like to catch a ride with you if that's ok.

I'm out for dinner, as I'm spending the post-race weekend in Whistler with my family. I've got my own Saturday night accommodation and Sunday ride sorted out, so don't worry about me.

Fearless pseudo leader here. I have booked a table at the Brew House for 6:00. I have not received any numbers so made it for 8-10 people. Lots of folks seem to have their own plans. There is the Red Truck beer garden in the afternoon by the way, and lots of the restaurants I contacted were 'full' but said to check back on the day as they were anticipating tables to come up. BTW the forecast calls for showers (#@$%^#@!) for Saturday. Bring raincoats. Think about fenders?

Fenders work in a group situation (like the GF) if everyone has them. I suspect most racer wanna-bes in the GF will emulate the protour riders and go without. We'll all get wet and cold, and have grit sprayed at our chains and bottom brackets, but that will happen in the pack even if we have fenders on. 'Might work if we agree to start and ride together though.

Anyone know where we can find a hose in Whistler?

There is a bike cleaning station with some hoses at the base of the chair lift.

I 'll leave my fenders on my winter CX/Road bike which will stay in Victoria. We might as well pretend we are a PRO team, 'cause we sure look like one!!!

Brian ,or anyone else: I could use a ride over Friday.... I'm not taking my car over as I am planning on riding back to Horseshoe bay on Sunday with a friend who is leaving his car in Nanaimo....so I was going to put my bike on the Victoria bus sometime Friday and go over that way. I am staying at my Brothers Fri. p.m. near 19th and Cambie. If this works for someone pls email or call pcmassagetherapy@hotmail.com 250 419 2426 Thanks Paul C. p.s. Water bottles look great . Thanks Jeff.

Reservation manna. We now have a second choice, albeit only with 8 seats at each restaurant. I am pushing for expansion. The second (and I hear better) joint is 21 Steps. A bit more bistro like and a little less pubbish. We can talk Friday morning? I vote against fenders. Paul I will call you tomorrow--I should have room.
