Tour de France

Post by jeremy »

Hey since I'm never home in the mornings and can't watch it on OLN, what are some good websites to watch the tour on??

Thanks, Jeremy

velonews.com
cyclingnews.com

both for updates, news, etc.

steephill.tv and justin.tv for links to live feeds. These are usually at the same time as the OLN coverage, I don't know anywhere you can get a rebroadcast stream. On the plus side you can get eurosport commentary with some strategic insight instead of listening to phil ligget and paul sherwin talking about lance and how drafting works the entire time.

Usually the last 20 minutes or so of each stage shows up on youtube within an hour of the finish, and you can usually find one in english. I usually google Tour de france stage X 2010.

Jeremy,
If you're comfortable with torrents (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrent_(protocol)), visit the http://cyclingtorrents.nl/browse.php site to download entire advert-free stages from ITV, Eurosport, and Versus. And, if you're curious about how "hors categorie" sounds in Swedish, Italian, or German, you'll find the answer there as well.. An incredible niche site, cycling torrent members upload the other grand tours, the Spring Classics, as well as hard-to-find vintage material. Just don't blame me if you don't have time to ride anymore!
