Looks like Shawn got himself a top 10 finish with the lead group in the cat 4 race (less than 1.5 seconds off the winner).
Nicely done!

I saw that, nice work Shawn. Lots of islanders in the results. Raphael pulled off a top 10 in the Cat 1,2,3 race.

Re: Tripleshot top 10 at Westside classic!
Thanks guys!
It was a really fun race. The course was totally closed to traffic so we had lots of room to move around. It had a similar feel to Newton Heights, as it sloped downward or was level all the way from the start line to the bottom of Camosun Street, where we climbed. The hill was a lot mellower than I expected, based on what the elevation map looks like. As an added bonus, we missed the rain that apparently soaked Victoria in the morning.
The race was extremely fluid. For most of it we were riding in a big pack, and you could get up near the front only to find yourself at the back again really quickly. There was a nasty group crash with a couple of laps to go, with the sickening sound of carbon fiber breaking. When we passed again on the next lap there were a couple of guys still receiving medical attention. I hope they're ok.
I'm a little disappointed with my finish because I was in first place going into the last corner with the finish line maybe 100 metres away. My top-end is kind of weak though and I watched eight guys pass me with seconds to go. Oh well.
We should plan ahead for this event next year so we can get a strong Tripleshot-Spinnakers presence there!
