Thursday 6:00 am corners

Post by Lister Farrar »

Good group of 8 out this am to do corners before we caught the TS train on Beach. Thanks to Brian, Barton and Barry for taking turns spotting the traffic for us. Did the usual line, then a faster, then two abreast then 3 abreast.

Next session we'll add some faster laps; the draw of the TS train was too great to do more today.

Spotters needed.

I will be there again Thursday. This is too good to pass up. In just a couple of laps, my confidence was boosted immensly! Simply pressing down on the outside pedal allowed for quicker, more confident cornering, single file at least! Three abreast is a different matter, at least for now. Looking forward to increased comfort level at cornering in a crowd, at speed!

Thanks Lister!

Shall we say rain or shine, and just do a regular ride if it's wet?

Thanks Lister for the great corner session on Tuesday, really good input. Now I know not to take corners like a sailboat mark rounding! Unfortunately I can't make Thurs morning.

Rain or shine, as long as there is coffee involved ;-)

Adam, the saddle at 40 K/Hr is so much more fun than the fence!

See you tomorrow!

I'll try to make it out as well. Some tips would be great & I can try to help marshall as well.

Thanks all for coming. Bow, Rita, Jenn, Barry, Mateo and Barton rode.

We covered the basics (line, speed(braking and gearing), weighting), rode some slower laps, then two and three abreast, then some faster laps. We wanted to do more, but a light rain started and tires started slipping.

Thanks all for taking a turn spotting the corners too.

One day we'll actually have dry enough pavement to do intervals; pain and skills, woo hoo!
