Ride stats for Friday Apr 30th

Post by Josh.E »

That was a really good workout, and good ride. I attacked up Caddy Bay, hoping to draw out a group of 4 or 5 to form a break, but only Bruce went with me, so we ended up doing a 2 man TT the whole way around until finally being reeled in by the pack at Ross Bay.
After that I channeled my inner Roland, and launched a couple pointless attacks around beacon hill.
Final sprint went to the cunning and tactical Peter this morning (I think).

that is right I have returned packed full of a thousand years of Euro knowledge. Steeped in ciclo knowledge and alive to the arcane rituals of Italian velo behaviour. Actually I suffered a lot today (stil recovery from a weird cold / allergy thing) but managed to channel my inner Euro to take the sprint. Hit 60.2 in the sprint (nto teh headwind!) - not bad at all!

"cunning and tactical" I love it. One of the reasons it's so much fun to ride with this group; always a fine balance between camaraderie and competition.

I wanted to comment on how much I have enjoyed the last couple of Fridays - we are getting early breaks and its great to see us organize into a collective group to real these fast guys in. We all benefit from the increased intensity of the ride, the bike handling skills and team work. Nice to see the young guys out as well - Lister, you should get these guys out for the races!
