weight of wet rain gear

Ever wonder how much all your gear weighs in the winter? I put all my soaking wet riding clothes, helmet, shoes, pump, etc into a plastic bag when I got home.
weight? 11 pounds.

that doesn't even include my water bottle.

It's funny how much we'll spend to save a pound or two on bike components.......

Skipping the ride today would have been free, and that would have saved most of the excess saturation weight of the gear. We weren't smart enough to skip the ride, but the stern character we showed will pay off with beautiful performances in the summer.
