Stats - Saturday Pie Ride

Thank you to patron Quentin for taking on the responsibility of organizing this morning's beautiful ride. His leadership and the companionship and dedication of the others inspired me to continue when otherwise the pain may have been too great. Quentin's pulls were majestic: long and strong.

Our stats weren't Josh/Pete worthy, but we did OK. 31.7 km/h for 80' to the pit stop in Sidney, then 33.2 km/h for the 60' back to the Goose.

After Interurban I bailed and joined my running club in Langford at the Chequered Flag for breakfast, then attempted Ross Durrance Rd. to get home. The sensations by this point were very terrible, but I willed myself on so as to not embarrass the club.

Hoping to join the ride to the hill climb tomorrow after Roubaix...

You're an animal! The thought of a Ross-Durance after that makes my legs want to leave me for another body.

Pain pie only. I guess I could have ordered pie at the Chequered Flag, but I had the one-egg breakfast instead, with tomatoes and fruit subbed in for fries, as I must maintain maximum discipline to improve my sporting performance.
