A Friday morning ride in Belgium with Mathieu van der Poel

A short note from a Tripleshot expat living in Belgium.

My Friday morning ride, turned into something a little bit different.

A few km's into my ride, I met up with Mathieu van der Poel, Serge Pauwels from team CCC, and a couple of under 23 riders.

What followed was a fun ride being swept along by one of the best riders in the world.

I rode with the guys for around 45km, I wanted to continue, but life as an entrepreneur and a packed schedule didn't make this a realistic possibility.

Thanks for sharing the snaps and brief video clip, Steve! It must be pretty fun pedalling along behind a guy who's a three-time world CX champ, won three Spring Classics last year, and in 2018 held the the Dutch national jersey in BOTH road and MTB!
