Todd Hallett - Hall of Famer & total rockstar
I know that most of us would have seen this as a result of Rolf's absolutely brilliant series of Daily Photos (thanks loads Rolf!) but this is a really big deal and without question deserves its own thread. so:
CONGRATULATIONS TODD!!!!!
Being inducted into a Hall of Fame is an absolutely extraordinary honour. it means that you have not only achieved remarkable sporting success but are also considered as the absolute best role model for everyone who is alive in the jurisdiction and everyone that will ever live there. Its truly extraordinary in every sense of that word. Todd's name and accomplishments and his story will inspire Bluenosers for all time.
The citation for Todd from the Nova Scotia Hall of Fame press release says:
Todd Hallett, Rowing, Shelburne: A champion in both the men’s single and double sculls rowing events, Hallett competed at the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. He also won bronze at the 1991 Pan American Games, and expanded his rowing repertoire to bring home gold with the “Men’s Eight with Coxswain” team at the 1994 Commonwealth Rowing Championships. He represented Canada at the World Rowing Championships five times, and is a three-time recipient of the Sport Nova Scotia Outstanding Achievement Award.
Again congratulations Todd on being inducted into the NS Hall of Fame its an absolute privilege to get to ride with you.

Congratulations Todd.
This brings back a lot of good memories of riding with Todd. Todd was in the group on my first TSC ride. I had worked hard for several months to reach the 24km/h average over 60 minutes advertised as being the slowest acceptable threshold for the C group. Nervously I showed up for my first ride and I only started to relax when I spotted a big guy on an old commuter bike with a straight handlebar, fenders and a rear rack. For sure I would be able to keep up with Todd! On the rivet, I am very grateful that he sheltered me in his draft all morning wearing his beautiful smile the whole way.
