Non-Bike Question about Kids Summer Programs and English Learning

Post by Jeremy S »

Hey everyone,

There is a good chance my older daughter (six years old) will be visiting Victoria for the summer, but her current English level is pretty low as she doesn’t use it where she has been for the past few years. I’m wondering if anyone here has heard of any summer programs (short programs are fine) that would be either English focussed or English-learner friendly? She loves outdoor activities (climbing, hiking, swimming, etc) as well as the arts (drawing, piano, ballet, etc) so I would hope there are some good options around. I think that if she is interacting with other kids in an environment she can relax in she will be able to pick up more of her English again, but a more structured environment is a good option as well.

Thanks!

Have a look at the Victoria summer activity guide. There are many activity based summer camps that are age appropriate and would give her social time with peers. She'd probably make some friends.
