Sprint #1 - I came off Bill's wheel to try to catch Josh in the last few meters but being the horse that he is he held on for the win.
Sprint # 2 - I heroically (stupidly??) tried to solo from 1km out. It really hurt. Result - caught by a pack of about 6 with 25m to go.
Final Sprint - there I was left out to dry by a pack of guys spread accross the road who were all looking for a draft whcih I generously (stupidly?) provided. Result - watched sprint develop 25m ahead of me
Did anyone else see the old couple walking on the side of the road just past the finish line on dallas road?
Me and Bill and Ryan side by side, I know I was yelling (aaaahhhh!) as I sprinted. I think Bill might have let out a big grunt as he threw his wheel forward.
They were probably 80, the lady looked like she wanted to run away in fear, the guy had this look like we were the dumbest, craziest, most disgusting group of people he had ever witnessed in his life.
It was priceless. I wish I could share the picture I have burned in my brain..
