VCL Metchosin Road Race SATURDAY June 22

The VCL race tomorrow is at the Metchosin Masters Course. This is one of the best courses on the island and the circuit is in great shape, weather looks favorable for racing, not too hot, no rain. VBCC is putting in the race and we are raising funds for youth cycling. Any and all proceeds will go to elite level Victoria based youth cyclists for travel grants. Most of the folks who will be beneficiaries have come through TSC!! This will be ability based racing A, B, C and D. We could still use a couple of volunteers if you are able. Please come at 11:30 and we will find you a job! There will be prizing and refreshments for all courtesy of VBCC! Hope to see you there! Here is the blurb from the VCL website:

The first ever VCL Metchosin RR – Details – SATURDAY June 22nd
Registration starts at 11 am.
Hans Helgesen school.
Parking at the school.

Race starts 12noon
A- 7 laps 62.8km
B-6 laps 54.2 km
C-4 Laps 36.6km
D- 2 or 3 laps juniors will decide with Lister.

Race starts at Walpole Road and Rocky Point at one minute intervals A, B, C, D and runs clockwise on to Kangaroo, Lindholm, Happy Valley and Rocky Point, final lap sprint up to Hans Helgesen School.

Prizing and refreshments from Victoria Breakaway Cycling and Level Ground Trading.

All proceeds to youth race travel grants.
