Another good saturday ride. I was in a world of hurt by the end, exactly as it should be.

I was hitting my lap button quite a bit, so I have some average speeds for splits (from sportracks):
split 3 - coffee shop to rd right before we turn onto the section of lochside drive near island view: 28.65km @ 32km/h average
split 4 - lochside to island view intersection 2.34km @ 33 km/h
split 5 - highway at island view to parking lot in sidney 8.48km @ 38.9km/h average
split 7 - sidney parking lot to wain@west saanich 7.73km @ 29.4km/h (through sidney and wain rd hill)
split 8 - Wain@west saanich to wallace rd just before saanchton 9.86km @ 29.7km/h (crazy windy airport and panorama hill)
split 9 - saanichton -wallace/west saanich rd to beginning of interurban 14.26km @ 34.6km/h
split 10 - interrurban - 3.45km @ 42.2km/h
My average heartrate for the ride (not including the stops) was 150 BPM with an average of 158 for the last 28km or so. My heart rate hit 182 up panorama, and 185 leading out the sprint. No wonder it hurt.
Thanks to everyone who came out.

I'm not sure who's cadence data I was stealing, as I don't have the wheel/pedal sensor on my rain bike.
nice pedalling, whoever you are.

I will post my stats later. It was much tougher this week. It turns out that pizza and beer isn't good prep food! Anyway I did the 180 in 5:50 ish and really felt it. I even felt a teeny tiny bit guilty coming around the moose in the sprint given how I pretty much did zero work all ride - if it helps when I get picked up by a pro team in Italy I will definately send each of you one of my used bidons. Moose and Josh will get signed ones as they were my lead out.
Something for the rest of you to consider - the "nice" things you do now for Dave, Alan and I MAY lead to rewards in the future. I suggest you all do as much as you can to keep the three of us happy so we will remember you when we are finishing the season for RadioShack!!!!
I think the cadence might be me as I have a sensor hooked up but I can't get it to read on my garmin - weird. Plus the section it's not working. Seems to be where I was off the back from matticks to island view.
When I tried to upload the data to garmin connect it will give me details but no map saying "internal error". This is the same problem with all three of the double loop Saturdays I have done. Any ideas garmin users?

Hey Peter
Have you gone into settings->system->accessories and made sure the cadence sesor is set to yes, then done a "restert scan"?
The problem with data might be that you have it set to 1 second data recording. I know there's a time limit to how much data the garmin can store in this mode, when it maxes out, it starts dumping data. 5.5 hours might be over the limit. Maybe try going back to "smart recording" for rides this long?
