Mostly nonsense. Also riding bicycles inappropriate for off road terrain, off road; GIFs

Any body Riding Cross on Sunday? My bike won't be built until Thursday but Broad Street is letting borrow one again.

You betcha. Unless someone has a specific ride in mind, I'm game for a tweaked version of the Canada Cup ride I never got to do:

Mike, do you have the ability to start a little earlier? It's a 50km ride and given the technical terrain and depending on group size we might want to budget 3.5 hours. Starting at 7:00 should help us wrap up for a 10:30 coffee or even breakfast...

Mike, "Sundy". Really?! This carefree attitude of yours ...

... has got to go. As Rolf and Alan will attest, we run a tight ship here on the TS cyclocross subforum. Perhaps you need some further edumacation,

p.s. Looks like a fun route, Ron, but I'm signed up for the Three Ferries Ride.

Well, if we’ve really uncorked the pedantry, may I suggest that all new posts to this, the “Cyclocross” sub-forum, eschew title-reference to “cross ride”, or related derivatives?

They’re right up there with “with au jus”, “ATM machine”, and “please RSVP” for grating redundancy.

:P

It's true, we run a tight ship here, but we never call out (at least publicly) how crappy some people are at da English
You're a cruel school marm, Professor Johnny Tyre... Cut the dude some slack. Sheesh...

And as for Mike’s playful use of the phonetic vernacular “Sundy”, I offer the following interesting statistical tidbits:

chaps; I'm going sailing on Sunday. I'll be exploring trails Saturday morning early if anyone cares for a double-header weekend. Flight plan: https://www.strava.com/routes/19113995
...but honestly I have no idea. I'll be leaving the switch bridge at 0630.

Mark: That connector when you descend from between Stewart Mtn. and Scafe Hill and then head east to Munn, crosses over verboten Hydro rights of way on the land of a certain Farmer Bill who has been very generous in letting his land be used for the Tripleshot CrossFondo on condition that we take efforts to discourage trespassing on his land the rest of the year. Please avoid, thanks!

If you go up and over Scafe, you're stuck going down to Westoby, Barker, and up Highland to get east again. Like this:

I am good with 6:40am but the demo bike has not yet been returned to Broadstreet. I was supposed to get it yesterday so I apologize in advance if I cannot get a bike. I will let you know after 5 today, when they close.

I think Mike and I have agreed to a 7:00am start from Fairbucks with a likely 7:20 pickup at the switch bridge (I believe Mark was referring to his Saturday ride). Weather forecast is amazing: dry with freash mud!!

Bring your mud guards.

Here’s a plotaroute for Scafe to Munn, Craig: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/839695

And here's an alternative, mapped on Strava (with TCX available), that turns off Highland and takes the fun way over to Munn!

Looks like we are down to just me now (Mike has no bike). I'll skip waiting at Fairbucks or switch bridge unless someone posts.

Happy Sunday!

I've had a heavy week, Ron. Not sure if I'm up for an extended ride tomorrow. If I'm in I'll try to text you or post here before 7...

Sounds good Rolf. Nothing better than an invigorating ride in the woods to make you feel right as rain.
