Big Saturday Cross Adventure

Mostly nonsense. Also riding bicycles inappropriate for off road terrain, off road; GIFs

Big Saturday Cross Adventure

Post by mfarnham »

The following is a message from Dave Attwell:

(Editorial license permits me to add the following: You cross people are nuts!)

Here’s this Saturday’s adventure.

“THE BIG GRAVEL CHUKKA”

Who is in?

We have 5 confirmed.

Switch Bridge 7am. Return will be just over 150km and 4000m climbing (all one hill). Will stop for food, 7.5 - 8 hours.

If conditions are good, then this weekend will be good - not raining and not too cold. Snow expected Sunday. Saturday would be best. I’m trying to rouse up a support vehicle to bring us Hot Chocolate and Food to the Renfrew Road Junction. Then also eat in Sooke. It would have to be an early start, but totally doable.

I’ll keep an eye on conditions. If is looks like it’ll snow or is icy we’ll postpone.

Nice ride fellas. Did it come with tips on convincing spouses to let you go out on these adventures?
