Today three Victoria amateur musicians are releasing their new song about the scandal swirling around BC's legislature.
"The song, called "All Part of the Uniform" might be the first of its kind to feature a woodsplitter," says song co-writer Alan Cassels.
He, along with his musical friends Dave Bigsby and Dave Kettlewell , posted the song today on Soundcloud. It can be heard at https://soundcloud.com/david_kettlewell ... he-uniform
The song is inspired by -- and often quotes verbatim -- the Plecas report that detailed allegations of spending abuse, lavish trips, and bizarre items like cufflinks and other trinkets expensed to the BC taxpayer.
"No need to get all worked up about this," say the trio. "Just focus on how weird it all is."
As they sing: "All this graft might make us very bitter. But the queerest of all is the legislative woodsplitter."

"Amateur musicians", my ass, this is an awesome vocal trio. That said, I suggest working on enunciation.

Fantastic Alan!
I laughed so hard when I heard about the wood splitter and truckloads of alcohol that they purchased.

Great song Alan - you are giving the Q’s All Bad Band some competition! Never thought I’d see a log splitter feature heavily in song. It must be a new niche market...
