The ambitious wish-list above melted away this morning after saying “I wonder where that trail goes?” a few too many times. Alan and I ended up on a bit of a harebrained toddle, following our (my) whims to several cheats, deceptions, and bad ends.

After wandering lost for nearly half an hour through some dense Thetis thickets—pining for machetes and sometimes using our bikes for the literal whacking of bushes—I fell in a hole.



So you see, Mr. Pitt: you were probably better off hoovering up hummus and halva...
