Mostly nonsense. Also riding bicycles inappropriate for off road terrain, off road; GIFs

Sunday, September 2

Be aware that the weather will soon turn and the animals will be back in hibernation. If you're interested in crossing in the forest tomorrow morning then post your ideas and intentions here.

How about a Royal Roads romp? I’ve gone to school there but sadly never checked out the trails. Meet either at the Fairfield SB or switch bridge to save time. I have a few hours starting from 630am.

Hi Kenji, I've been hatching a plan with Rolf to meet at Fort and Foul Bay at 7am, boot it to Partridge Hills, followed by coffee and eclairs in town somewhere between 10-11am. Does some, or all, of that work with you?

Sounds like a plan. I should be good for most of if not all. Maybe even time for a quick coffee but definitely will stay for the food. See you guys tomorrow.

Always a great day when you learn something knew. Today I learnt much,

1. Kenji's an awesome rider. (Already knew that of Rolf.)
2. Wolverine Wayne goes to bed early and so misses rides posted after 8pm.
3. My CX bike can survive a 360 flip on the trails of Partridge Hill.
4. Rolf's eye astounds (not new news). Hopefully he'll post todays pics here.
5. The puppy that we're sitting shits earplugs when you leave her alone too long.

Thanks, JT! That was a fun exploration of some completely new terrain. I now understand why so many MTBers in my life refer to Patridge Hills with some reverence. I look forward to returning, skipping the technical upper reaches, and exploring the easier slopes north of Durrance.

Here are a few memories from an awesome morning:

Thanks John. I was equally impressed by your climbing prowess after dropping everyone going up Willis Point Rd. Love the photos Rolf. It really captures the majestic nature of the woods, especially with the light filtering through the trees. Looking forward to the next adventure.
