I am signed up for the 160. Hoping to do it without cramping and falling off my bike this time!

Correction. Jill and I were there spectating. Barton did not fall of his bike during the race. He fell off shortly afterwards.

So, what kind of pace for the 160 are people thinking of? Any interest in riding together and making it a ride more than a race? I am thinking I won't be able to do much more than 25 K/Hr with a bit of company!
Anybody thinking of riding longish (140?) this coming Saturday?
Barton.

I’ll be doing 160 also and watching my heart monitor closely to ensure I don’t explode.

Also, a bunch of weaker legs can combine into something stronger by working together.
My answers are yes and yes. Barton, you shouldn't have to wait more than a minute on Munn Rd. and I will bring some pickle juice for you.So, what kind of pace for the 160 are people thinking of? I'd be happy to ride as a team assuming we're at similar levels. I typically ride B1 and don't mind being dropped and would hope those I ride with would feel the same way. Perhaps we can set a meeting place on race day so we can leave as a pack?

Marcus! You had me at Yes, then I saw Pickle Juice!! Awesome!
Rob, I am a good solid B3 rider, sometimes B2 depending who is in the group. Never Ever B1! Long rides are typically C+. Like I said, I think I can average 25 maybe 26 K/Hr over a very hilly 160 K with help and company!
I have spent a lot of time watching my HR monitor. i still blow up! This time I am hoping it'll be different. Easy out and build and build. Make it thru Prospect southbound then see what happens.

Re: Tour de Victoria
As per what Rob mentioned about a meeting place in advance...A great idea so we can start together, see who's all there and group up...It's a long course and apparently the 20km they tacked on from last year has some gravel...Maybe we should decide on a place to meet around 0630, start time is 0700...Thoughts?

Hey man dress. I love it. I think the 160k folks are at the front (but I’m not sure. How about we gather near the righ side (parliament side) so its easier to spot the argyle. I’ll t st you so at minimum you and I can meet up.
