Tuesday crash

Post by POC »

Many thanks to all who stopped after the crash at Henderson/Lansdowne. The crash was the result of a mechanical problem. I was at the back of the A2 group and as I accelerated through the turn my chain slipped off the big ring, I was also transferring into a stand position at the time. This caused the bike to fall strongly to the kerbside. I brought down ex-UVic rower Alex too. I am ok, lots of road rash but nothing broken. Alex seems the same. The TS attitude epitomizes what a wonderful caring group of riders we have. Thanks all.

Very glad to hear nothing is broken for the two of you. We all know how strong rowers and marathon runners are, so a little bit of soreness and road rash won't slow you down. Take a couple days off, rest up and I hope your recovery is a quick one. Kudos to Craig for taking the important first step in heading back down to the corner to ensure incoming riders ( and cars ) knew that there had been an incident.
