Cyclocross fun machine at a steal [SOLD]

Post by JTyre »

Well-maintained 2017 Focus Mares AL 105 56cm for $1800.00 OBO. (I'm a natural 58cm but opted for a smaller frame for cyclocross.) PM or email fyfe.john@gmail.com

Testimonials,

1. "Before his Focus, Johnny Tyre's riding was embarrassing. Now he's one of the top gipher's in the Club" [].
2. "Johnny Tyre used to fall off his cross bike even more than me. Now we fall off our cross bikes about equally" [].

(I can't seem to upload a photo and so instead I've uploaded this image from the Focus website. What a beauty, hey?)

Wassup, JT? Knowing you, you're probably putting the proceeds towards the children and/or finding world peace. You're amazing!

How tall are you? Is it equivalent to a Large in some bikes sizing?
Does it have HYDRAULIC discs?
What is the cassette and chain ring gearing?
Same colors as the photo?

Paul, this bike has your name written all over it — and for that reason I’m prepared for you to steal it from me for a reduced price of $1799.99.

I’m 6’. Large? donno. Hydraulic disk, you bet. Specs, here: https://www.focus-bikes.com/int/45943-mares-105.html. Same colours as photo except for handlebar tape which is black - red is for sissies, and you’re no sissy, so perfect.

Paul: according to the Tripleshot Member Profile Directory, Jtyre looks like this in real life:

Image

Despite its disgusting paint and regrettable use of a non-Ti material for frame construction, that is nearly the perfect bike, Neil!

I think John's looking to swap his chain for the carbon fiber driveshaft featured in Ceramicspeed's new DrivEn system.

(Just don't tell John they haven't yet constructed a functioning prototype!)

Be careful, Rolf. Toying with and exposing my multiple personalities can be dangerous business.

My subconscious knows this too well. I keep having a recurring nightmare that looks something like this:

Hey, did you sell your bike yet? ... How about now?

Don't you worry, my little Rolfy, I'll be closing this sale soon enough. As for your obstructionist ways, you'll be remembering me as both cunning and patient,

I have no idea what that previous exchange is about, but seeing as I want to get in on the game, more weirdness..

Dear John,

Choosing a small bike for cross is cute and I am not surprised that you are up..., way up..., grading.

Image

But buying a bike that is not good enough for you...

Imagee

Good luck with that,
