I've just come across a study that says that caffeine intake before exercise lowers the degree of muscle pain felt during exercise. Women generally experience a greater reduction of pain than man.
Darn, I shouldn't have stopped drinking coffee Has anybody experienced less pain on a Sunday ride yet or is it just balanced out by the longer distance?
Do Sundays hurt less?

That's interesting. I missed Sunday coffee today for the first time - arrived just as the gang was leaving. I have felt the ride in my legs all day. That hasn't happened in a long time. However, it was a fast ride and we haven't had one of those in a long time either.
