Time for another round of 3 and 1 to get ready for the Penticton Fondo July 8.

Usual start place and time, Disco Coffee, Menzies and Michigan. 7 AM. If you want to join along the way take a close look at the route. Our average pace will be 25 K/Hr maybe.
We are going to add a little twist. At about 50 k, near Mt Newton and Lochside, we are going to go at a high tempo individual "race pace" effort for 2 K north on Lochside Dr. After 2 K we'll settle back down and carry on at a moderate group pace.
Then at about the 86 K point, W Saanich Road and Ardmore, we'll do a 4 K solo race pace effort segment, pretty well all the way thru to the end of Ardmore at W Saanich Rd south of the golf course. Then settle back in for the balance of the ride.
You should do this at your own pace completely. if you feel like time trialing, go ahead. If you feel like maintaining the pace you are already at, that is fine too. Everyone will spin around at the end of each effort and join up with the group and continue at our regular pace.
Next weekend will be riding 130 K and 4 & 6 K efforts. The next, 140 K with a 4, 6 and 8 K effort.
I also have the Tour de Vic (Aug 18) in mind. I have signed up for the 160. After Penticton I'll be continuing with an increase in overall distance and an increase in the distance of the individual efforts.
