Canadian Canada Day ride

It has become a tradition for a Hurricane Ridge ride on July 1 for Victoria cyclists but is there any interest in a Canadian alternative? It would be an epic ride returning to Victoria before an evening BBQ, fireworks etc.
There are a couple of hills on Saltspring Island but they are on gravel not suitable for road bikes. Any ideas?

Goldstream Heights. About 110km round-trip, depending on whether you come back via the Malahat or the Mill Bay Ferry.

I thought we could do the elevation of Hurricane Ridge in a more circular fashion. 150 laps of BHP anyone?

Only 12 Observatory Hills would be enough.
