I don't know. That could be better phrased as a Boxing Day TB (as in Turkey Barf). I heard chat at the Fernwood of a Boxing Day ride--now that would be a good idea. Takers? Usual Sunday/Holiday time??

This sounds like fun

I'm going to try to find a way to swing this. May not be able to, but with all the family in town to help out.........maybe

I even got a new aero helmet for christmas I need to try out.

Anyone have a rear disk wheel they'd loan me?

Josh

I might be up for the TT as well if I can escape for an hour or two.

Anybody else?

I'm likely up for an early ride.

What's a "time trial"? Sounds hard.

its easy Rolf - just a solo ride where they record your time over a known distance (in this case a short 13.2kms). No drafting just a nice leisurely cycle -

Lets do a combo ride/TT. So ride out - meet at Oak Bay Bikes at 9am or the Switch Bridge at 9:25 (post where you will join in so we know who to wait for - or leave behind!) then we can do the TT (its free so no excuses) then do a loop out and back home. How cool would it be to have started the year with around 10 TS riders doing a hill climb AND end the year with a pile of Easter Eggs doing a TT.......

For all from Dave S (the cucumber):

Happy Winter Salsa, everyone!
Sounds like this annual tradition is continuing, i believe they sign-up is at the Firehall there..
For those interested in riding out, i'll be doing the following:
* meet at OBB at 9am
* we'll be at the Switch Bridge around 9:25am
There'll be plenty of time to get to our destination from there.
Hopefully see you out there! ;)
Dave

If I ride solo I'll ride my TT bike. No fancy wheels or TT helmets or anything wacky.

Or I may ride tandem for more power!

Ummm... digesting?

Some part of Pete's planned Christmas Day of martinis by the pitcher starting at 10 a.m. and a new Wii may have interfered with his TT prep.

Gongs to those who made it out on this laziest of stat holidays. I look forward to hearing about this "racing" thing from you, Jeremy. 7th sounds pretty damn fine to me.

Mike L and I had a very comfy hour of coffee and a tip toe home at 10km per hr after.

Did you actually race Roland? It was a skating rink through Fairfield.

Yeah, it wasn't too bad by 9:30. The others said it was worse in Victoria than Saanich//Western Communities. By the time the TT started it the roads were wet.
